Het Land van Belofte: De legende van broeder Immanuel en de dieren (Paperback)
This short tale of Brother Immanuel is sweet and inspiring, expressing a Christian piety that is full of love for nature, humility, and mercy - and therefore one that stresses the most valuable aspects of the faith (in my view, as a nonbeliever).You will have to be able to stomach a severe dose of Romanticism and gushy sweetness for this one, though. A humble priest bringing the message of love and understanding to the animal world isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea...
